Chardonnay is one of the world’s great white varieties, recognised for its adaptability and for reflecting origin precisely when it comes from well-defined vineyards. Here it is interpreted from one specific vineyard and with a clear vocation for cellaring.
The 2023 vintage was marked by a dry, demanding cycle, with restrained yields and good concentration. In Chardonnay, these conditions favoured balanced ripening, keeping natural freshness and enough structure for long ageing. Final production for the vintage: 730 bottles.
Winemaking is geared towards preserving the identity of the vineyard and the variety. The wine has spent 20 months in second-year French oak barrels, selected to respect its original structure and allow slow, balanced integration.
Ageing is conceived as a process of refining and stabilising, aimed at a long evolution in bottle.
The vineyard lies in the Tudelilla area, on poor, well-drained soils of old alluvial character. Altitude and aspect favour gradual ripening, bringing tension and definition to the wine.
Bright golden yellow, with clean reflections and good density.
Complex and elegant nose, with ripe white fruit, soft citrus notes, hints of nuts and a lightly spiced background from the ageing, well integrated.
Broad, balanced entry. Structured on the palate, with volume and well-integrated freshness. The oak accompanies without dominating, bringing depth and length.
Long, dry, persistent finish.
Suited to oily fish, prepared shellfish, white meats, poultry and dishes with sauces where the wine can accompany the texture.
Thanks to its structure, acid balance and long ageing, this Chardonnay is built for a long evolution in bottle, gaining complexity and nuance over time.
