A classic interpretation of red Rioja based on the balance of the blend: 80% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha and 5% Graciano, where each variety plays a role — structure, volume and freshness. The aim is a harmonious whole, faithful to the historic style of Rioja
A dry, demanding vintage, with low yields and high concentration. Conditions that favoured wines for cellaring, where structure and balance take priority over immediacy. In this blend, ripeness, freshness and tannic firmness were brought together without excess.
Production for the vintage: 725 bottles.
Winemaking aimed at a balanced extraction and at preserving the identity of the whole.
Twenty-one months in once-used French oak barrels, seeking structural refinement and gradual evolution. The oak accompanies without imposing itself, favouring stability and cellaring capacity.
The wine comes from micro-plots of Tempranillo on the flanks of the Toloño, from plots selected on the criteria of low production and mature vines. Poor, well-drained soils of diverse origin that bring balance, depth and structural complementarity.
Cherry red of medium-high intensity, with ruby reflections and slight evolution. Clean and bright, with fine legs.
Complex and balanced, with ripe red and black fruit, spiced notes and hints of dried herbs. A balsamic background and integrated oak bring depth without dominating.
Structured, harmonious entry. Fine, well-integrated tannin, with balanced volume and good freshness. Long, dry, persistent on the palate, with spiced hints and a mineral background.
Red meats, traditional stews, game and long-cooked dishes. It works especially well with structured cooking of medium-high intensity. Recommended temperature between 17 and 18 ºC.
High capacity to evolve, based on its varietal balance and structure. Over time it will gain complexity and greater integration. Evolution towards finer, deeper, more classical profiles.
